The reasons why I am a vegan chef

Born and raised in Mexico City. Proud of my background, my country, its culture, and history. Since I was a child, I was surrounded by extraordinary cooks, my grandmother, and my mom, this last one was my mentor and teacher, nowadays and I could proudly say that I have my mother’s magic touch and my own for cooking. My passion for cooking came up as a result of how much I love to eat. I might say I’m a foodie by nature. I remember my first-time cooking, I was around 8 years old. I had been craving for pasta with tomato sauce, as a result, I decided to try to imitate what my mom used to do every single day in the kitchen and I nailed it, it was a really good pasta though…well I believe so.

 

Five years ago, after an NYC trip, I decided to change my diet, thanks to one of my closest friends who told me about the vegetarian lifestyle.
